Vetools Privacy Policy
This policy explains how INGHAM TOOL LLC ("we") handles information in the Vetools app for iOS ("the app").
1. The short version
The app has no account system, analytics, advertising or tracking. We do not collect personal data through the app, and we do not log your browsing or network activity.
2. Information stored on your device
Subscription links, server configurations, routing rules and app settings that you add are stored on your device. They are not sent to us. Deleting the app removes them.
3. Camera
If you choose to scan a QR code to add a subscription, the app asks for camera access. Camera images are used only to read the code and are not sent to us. You can turn this permission off at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Network connections
The app is a tool that connects to servers you configure yourself. We do not operate those servers. Their operators may process your traffic and IP address under their own privacy policies, so please choose providers you trust.
The app may also contact third-party services directly from your device, and these services can see your IP address when it does:
- The subscription and rule URLs you add
- Public hosting services such as GitHub and jsDelivr, to download routing rules and IP location databases
- Connectivity test addresses, such as those run by Google, to measure whether a connection works and how fast it responds
- DNS resolvers named in your configuration
5. Apple
Apple may provide us with aggregated download and crash statistics if you have agreed to share them with app developers. Apple's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
6. Emails to us
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use this only to respond to you and keep it only as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law.
7. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. We may disclose support correspondence if the law requires us to.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Your choices
You can delete your data in the app at any time by removing it or by deleting the app. To access or delete support emails we hold about you, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
